We ordered the dog door flap in January. The door finally arrived the last week in February.
Initially (1/30) we received a message that with a tracking number that was 000000. When we tried to contact the company on a Friday custeromer service was closed and we were told the message would be relayed to them.
We heard nothing the entire next week. Finally we recontacted the company
after no explanation was given they told us it must have been on back order. The dog door arrived on February 25. We thought the customer service from this company – Unbeatable- was really poor!!
The dog door flap was fine.

I have had several years (10+) experience with this PetSafe product and it is my opinion that this company has designed their product(s) to fail. Assuming you get a properly fitting replacement, you can expect 18-24 months usage overwhich time the product will crack, discolor, and curl (making the magnetic closure useless); and you can expect to pay nearly as much for the replacement as the original door. Unfortunately this is the case with too many manufacturers of pet products–overpriced and poorly constructed.

We’ve already had the doggie door in place and needed just the outside flap.. couldn’t find it anywhere!! then looked on Amazon and there it was!! was so easy to install and my dogs love it…. Great replacement part!!

I received the item (dog door replacement flaps) quickly and in apparently good condition but due to vacation schedules, we did not install the replacement flaps until this evening. What a surprise! The magnets aren’t connecting or staying connected, the flaps aren’t flat (they are bowed outward when hung), and the door won’t seal, allowing air in from the outside – not a good thing in Texas when the A/C is always on. This is a very poor product, not even close to the flaps that came with the original Ultimate Pet Door. I intend to seek a replacement or refund.

This replacement was the right size, but the screw holes were not in the same places as the original. What should have been a simple job became a real hassle. We’ve had this issue before with this company -every time we get a different door or replacement flaps, the holes have moved slightly, enough to make installation difficult. Having completed the job, the replacement does seem to work well.
