Bought the power professional pet nail trimmer thinking it would be good for large dogs. Really not happy with it, should send it back.

Unable to use Peticure as items I need to put it together are missing. The items are the Collet and the Collet Nut. There is no protective cap on the unit either. The bag that should contain the missing items looks used. There is also an item included that is not on the list…a tiny wrench. I read there were problems when ordering from Peticure direct; thought Amazon had better customer service. If and when I actually get a working unit I will be able to review the product.

I ordered this product even after reading the many negative reviews thinking that maybe it would work for me. Not only did it not grind my dogs nails, but when I had issue after issue with customer service trying to return this product. I have yet to get a refund and at this point don’t even care anymore as long as I never have to deal with this product again!

I ordered this product with reservations because of so many negative reviews, but was needing something better than clippers to get my dog’s nails shortened. They were completely out of control! She’s terrified of the clippers and it’s was always such a struggle that I let the job go.
I am very satisfied with this product. It is powerful enough to do the job and is a comfortable size to hold in my hand. The cord is long enough to give me working room and I appreciate the cap that collects nail dust.
Best of all, I’ve been able to get my dog’s nails to a more decent length without her being terrified. I will keep working on them a little bit at a time until I get them to the length I want.
I followed the directions for getting her familiar to the Peticure and she now thinks it is a treat dispenser!

I have a 140 lb anatolian shepherd and it is a battle to cut his nails. With the grinder he lays back and enjoys the experience. I had the battery operated model and wasn’t happy. The battery in the handle was heavy making it somewhat awkward. Also one battery gave out after only 5 months. Then the charger died. The corded model is v. lightweight and I don’t find the cord a problem. Would buy again if needed.
