  1. The best nail grinder you can get is the Master Grooming Tools Pet Nail Grinder Kit from petedge.com it’s $[...] and worth every penny. As a professional dog groomer I would not recommend this product. The safe gaurd gets in the way and the motor is weak. With the Master Grooming Grinder you have a power plug, an adjustable motor and no annoying shield to get in the way.

I got this after reading the reviews here. The one with an electric cord had been recommended but after reading here, I thought the battery-operated less noisy one might work better for me. My dog’s previous owner came over to show me how to use it. She didn’t use the shield because hers doesn’t have one. I was very impressed with this trimmer but I must admit, having someone to show me how to use it was a big help.

This Oster Trimmer is great. Buy one and give your dog a break from over cutting their nails. At first, they need to get used to the buzzing sound but our dog is doing better and better with that. Buzzes off just the right amount of nail with no painful problems for the dog. Do it often and cut off just the easy amount. Quite clever–and we will do anything for our pups. I think VETS should get them for their offices because they tend to over cut and cause bleeding.

Nail trimming is tough. My large breed dog seems to need her nails trimmed more than 1/month. I was going to the Vet Tech & it was time consuming. This allows me to trim whenever & it is safe for me & my pet.

    Unit is sturdy

Motor is fast so it takes less time to grind
