The only complain I have is how long it took to arrive. I was able to use the free shipper but the bowl did not arrive for well over 2 weeks, and it wasn’t Christmas. I ended up purchasing a bowl locally so I have not used this bowl. However, the bowl I purchased locally is the same brand and it is fabulous. The weather has been down below 10 degrees and it’s nice to know the outside cats/animals will be able to get to fresh water.

This is the first New England winter with our nine hens. We purchased a galvinized steel waterer last spring but after a couple of very cold days the water inside turned to ice. For about a week I would have to go outside and break up the ice so they could drink water. I did go to the local feed store to check another brand of heated water bowl, but it was not that good of construction. Also the feed store person said”Oh if you get a heated bowl the hens will poop in the bowl, so here is another option”. Which was a galvinized heated base plate for the waterer I already had,the problem was it costs $70! So based on reviews we decided to get this heat bowl for them to use instead. We now have the bowl and our hens love it! The bowl does keep the water unfrozen for the hens all day. We keep it plugged in an outside socket during the day and unplug it at night. We also dump it out at night to keep water from freezing in the bowl. As for the poop we haven’t seen them poop in it yet and for $43 less than the base heater we will take a chance.

This product has worked for us much better than a previous heated bowl bought elsewhere. Being plastic, it doesn’t deteriorate and is easy to clean. It’s a great peace of mind to know our dog has water available despite dipping temperatures at night.

I bought two dog bowls from this site. I use one in my chicken coop and it works wonderfully. With the temps in the single digits, their water has always been liquid. It makes it very easy to use. I go out every morning with a gallon water jug and paper towel. I pour the dirty water into a 5 gallon home depot barrel and then wipe the inside with a paper towel. Then refill with fresh water and I am done. This has worked out perfectly.
