Avoid this giant waste of your money.
During the first use, it goes from the regular buzz to a horrendous grinding sound and back, without warning and independant of what you are doing with it. Nothing is interfering with the blades, it just makes this noise internally. Even the most relaxed animal can’t help but be alarmed by this very inferior product.
If I could give this 0-stars (like it deserves) I would.

I bought this item to groom my cat. He’s a long haired cat and those vet/grooming visits can get very pricey. The clippers worked great. Nemo the cat didn’t seem to mind them so much and was actually purring along w/the vibration of the clippers. The clipper noise is the same as other clippers. Let’s just hope they last

These clippers did work really well, but they got so hot they were burning my hand! This clipper got so hot that it melted a portion of the casing, right behind that blue sticker thing. I could not believe how hot these got…. After reading the good reviews and the bad, I still went ahead and bought these. They are a good price, but you do get what you pay for!! Hope you have better luck than me!

Highly recommended. I bought this product to keep my cross poodle dog trimmed. He has typical poodle curls for fur – that had become long and matted in places. I usually use scissors to trim him but it was too time consuming. I had been looking at different clippers for a while but they all seemed out of my price range, except the Andis. I am very happy with my purchase, has a good heavy feel and the starting ‘clatter’ is so brief, the poodle barely raised a brow! I love the plastic storage box, no more trying to stuff all the accessories back into a torn box after use. The instructions were simple to understand and the product was eay to use. I didn’t watch the DVD.
